Google Docs and Spreadsheets

Google Docs and Spreadsheets is a new online application from Google that allows you to create, modify and save documents and spreadsheets online. This means you don't have to email them from computer to computer to edit them, all you have to do is login and make your changes. I've found this a useful replacement for Microsoft Word for school documents as I can work on them at home without the hassle of email. Though it is still in Beta, I would encourage you to give it a try if you find yourself constantly emailing your work.

http://docs.google.com/

As I browse through this week's edition of both the Lakeshore News and the Salmon Arm Observer, I am continually noticing the vast number of entry-level and professional-level jobs available, both in Salmon Arm and other areas of BC that are desperate for workers. Even as our summer tourism season is well over, employers are still desperately seeking employees. Personally, I would love to snap up one of those jobs ASAP and so would many of my friends. The problem is, none of the businesses I have contacted have been flexible enough to employ a student, something they are going to start to have to do to fill vital positions.

Here are some links to employment websites for those who are looking for jobs in Salmon Arm o0r the Shuswap.

Job Bank
Salmon Arm Work Search Center
BC Classifieds - Salmon Arm Jobs

Davis Wuolle
